Baby girl is growing and growing fast. My baby bump is no longer a bump but a belly. Bright side: at least I am noticeably pregnant now and not at the "hmmm Kim gained weight and got fat" stage! hehe! Her first strong kicks were 2 kicks to kick my laptop computer off my belly. Everyone keeps talking about how amazing and great it is when your baby kicks..but i'll be honest, in the beginning..it freaked me out! Now i'm pretty accustomed to her kicks and rolling around in there. Baby girl sleeps for most of the day but when she is awake, she definitely lets me know! She kicks pretty hard..and I know at 24 weeks..she is still really tiny! I suppose its the soccer player in her already!! It is strange to see my belly move from her kicks...Brian feels her kicks every chance he gets. Its pretty amazing to both of us!
I decided that her room will be SNICKERDOODLE themed. Meaning soft mochas and creme colors. She will still have accents of the lavender and baby blue in the mix as well, but the main theme will be snicker to match the beige color walls in the house. For some reason she likes monkeys...I dont' know what it is about them..but she likes them...so I supposed I can get her a couple stuffed monkeys! :)
I don't have any weird food cravings really..I don't discriminate unless I cannot have it (sushi..coldcuts..etc..) ..but I can tell you that I can consume a LOT compared to if I was not pregnant. I ate a whole chicken parm sub (it was huge) the other day and did not even feel full afterwards..like it was a little appetizer or something!! :) In terms of mood swings..i'm an ANGEL!!! (Brian will beg to differ i'm sure!)..but its MY blog..so YES..i'm the sweetest pregnant person ever! Besides blaming Brian for my fantasy football losses for week 1..i'm good! lol! Yes, fantasy football is taken VERY seriously especially this year. Since I cannot physically play soccer or football its the only taste of competition I can get a taste of! ...let me stop now before I get carried away...i'm supposed to be talking about the little pea.
There have been some requests to post pics of my baby belly...i'll try to post some soon. :)

Halfway Through
Family Outing @ Cuban Pete's
Us & Dad
Mommy Garcia, Mommy Roman & Natasha Roman
As I am halfway through my pregnancy, which went incredibly fast btw, I am feeling energetic and healthy as my belly grows more and more each day. Thoughts are running through my mind about planning for her arrival; how to set up my condo for the addition to the family, the checklist of what I need (or she needs) when she arrives, her name, even what to wear to work every morning!..and it goes on. She will be here before my eyes blink twice the way things are going! Also, this debate that I have going on in my head about having a natural child birth..I suppose a lot of women go into it thinking "i can do it" and then break down in the middle of it all b/c the pain is too much to even go on further with labor. I consider myself to have a pretty high tolerance for pain, BUT...i'm not trying to be a hero or anything..so I want that needle to be on standby if need be! So with that being said..I supposed trying to give birth naturally is something I can prepare myself for. (yikes!)
On a lighter note, I feel her move sometimes now. It feels like bubbles in my tummy, but she is still small yet to really push me around :) I am interesed to see when she gets bigger how much she will kick and stretch and wiggle. The craving for the month is popcorn for some reason..good thing i'm going to the movies tonight! :)

Princess Roman
Soooo..we officially have a little princess on the way!!!! Yaaayyy!!!! Now to plan plan plan...and the now fun/stressful part of picking a cute name for our princess has begun!!!! So we don't have a future draft pick for the NFL coming...BUT..we can have a future U.S. Womens World Cup soccer player!! :) Since my name is Kimberly...I would like for Princess Roman to have a "K" name...any suggestions?!?! I have thought about her color theme too! I want mainly lavender with baby blue and white accents...how does that sound?? I consider it being gender neutral with a touch of girly but not TOO girly!!! I would LOVE constructive criticism here..b/c I have NO idea what i'm doing lol. I didn't even know I should have a "theme" until yesterday. I'm sure those of you reading this blog know that i'm not too much of a "GIRLY GIRL"...i'm more "sporty spice" as my high school girlfriends would say!! Don't get me wrong..some pink will be ok...but if EVERYTHING is PINK...i think it would drive me a little insane! Lavender, baby blue and white is a combination of girly and sporty, the white will represent a blank slate for whatever the princess chooses later on in life! To be a girly girl..or to be a sporty girl!! or both! Please let me know what you guys think!!! I am open to suggestions..pls!!! This is a bit overwhelming!!! omg! Is there such a thing as lavender colored footballs?!? lol! j/k j/k!! Ok..well..i'll leave the forum open for suggestions...names and themes please! Yayyyy..so exciting!! :)

A New Obsession
If you guys haven't tried the new craze of Yogurtland it should strongly be considered! It is conveniently (for me!) located in Denville, NJ at the Union Hill Shopping Plaza. I believe it replaced Maggie Moo's ice cream shop. You walk in and they give you sample cups so you can taste all their different and original flavors before you fill your cup with your favorite flavor or flavors. Some of my favorite flavors are Taro, Toasted Coconut, Cookies & Cream, Chocolate Devil's Food Cake Mix & Peanut Butter. Once you have filled your cup with as much frozen yogurt as you desire you proceed to the toppings buffet where they have multiple choices of fruit, candy & chocolate to top your yogurt with. So yum. The baby and I enjoy Yogurtland very much!! ;)
...stay tuned..I find out Monday if its a Boy or a Girl!!!!

18 WEEKS!
I didn't get the idea to actually "blog" my pregnancy until my "filipino" cousin who is this awesome writer and happens to be pregnant also mentioned that she blogs about her pregnancy. I thought it was a great idea to document the weeks and months leading up to the birth of your child, especially your very first child!
Let me catch you guys up on whats been happening....
My 1st trimester wasn't a bad one compared to others that I have spoke with..felt nauseated some days but all in all not so bad, I guess I was pretty lucky! Knowing that you should eat while you are feeling sick was not fun at all! Sleeping was a big part of my first trimester. I was absoutely exhausted by the time my 8 hour work day was over..so my usual after work activities went out the window. My Insanity workouts and free movie Tuesdays were soon replaced with napping. All the tests in the first 3 months came out normal and healthy. Around 12 weeks, I was beginning to get more energy and did not feel sick anymore. At this time, I shared the news with family, friends and co-workers. :)
Now I am 18 weeks and starting to show. Well...if I wanted to, I can still hide it..I guess it just looks like i'm fat!! If I bend over I feel like I have a ballon in my belly, it kinda feels like a balloon when you poke it too! Brian and I are one week away from finding out the sex of our child! We are so excited and we want to know right away what we are having. My appetite has increased and have been craving lots of chocolate milk...along with these cravings have been chicken burritos and ice cream sundaes. I'm still waiting for the "glowing" skin and awesome hair you are supposed to get while you are pregnant if it ever comes!! ;) I have moody days but the next day I can be so happy...weird or psycho?! :) Since I have not been able to play soccer or flag football..I have been going through withdrawal. NOT COOL!
Stay tuned for more blogs to come....this is my first blog ever, so please comment!! xoxo
